Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 August 2026

ZingFling.com is currently an announcement that we are rebuilding ZingFling, plus a way to get in touch. This notice describes what those pages collect. It will be replaced with a fuller policy before the product launches.

What we collect

If you use the signup form, we store the email address you enter, the restaurant name if you choose to give one, and whether you ticked the box saying you own or operate a restaurant. Alongside that we record the date and time, the country your request came from, the page that referred you, and your browser's user-agent string. We do not ask for or store payment details or postal addresses.

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number, subject and message you send, so that we can reply. It reaches us as email and is not added to the relaunch mailing list. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the submission is not automated.

Why we collect it

To tell you when ZingFling launches, and to understand how many of the people following the relaunch are restaurant operators. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share this list with anyone.

Where it lives

Signups are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket that is not publicly readable. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to serve and protect the site.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people read. Which rules apply depends on where you appear to be:

If you appear to be in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookies are set until you accept. Decline, or simply ignore the bar, and no Google script ever loads.

Everywhere else, analytics start on your first page view and the bar invites you to opt out. If you decline, we stop analytics, set Google Analytics' own off switch for this site, and delete the analytics cookies that were already set. One page view will have been counted before you clicked; nothing after it is.

We work out which of those applies from your browser's own time-zone setting. That is a rough guess and it can be wrong — a VPN or a trip abroad will fool it. We deliberately do not use the Geolocation API (which would prompt you) or an IP address lookup, and if the time zone cannot be read we apply the stricter, consent-first rules.

Either way we enable analytics storage only: advertising, ad personalisation and cross-site advertising cookies stay switched off, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

Who else processes this data

Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, the private storage holding signups, and the Turnstile anti-spam check on the contact form. Processes standard request data to serve and protect the site.

Google LLC — website traffic analytics (Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager), subject to the cookie choices described above.

Removing your information

Email [email protected] and we will delete your record. No explanation required, and we will confirm when it is done.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes to how we use signup data will be announced to the list before they take effect.
